Runaway Cherry, Runaway!

After participating in so many Etsy events... [although, i've done a TERRIBLE job blogging about said events] i've been working a TON on my Etsy shops.

Today was 'Runaway Cherries" turn. Runaway Cherries is my supply shop, and i was STOKED to add these lovely little owls and art pallets to the shop.

Now...it's time to write some hardcore blog posts about all the Etsy adventures i've been on since i moved to New York!

Off i go!!

Ohhhh these Crafty Folk!!

When i saw these fun stickers by CraftyFolk i was hooked and had to see what other goodies this lovely artist had.

My goodness, I am so intrigued by Sarah from CraftyFolk. Her drawings are simply adorable and i love how she has made her drawings into wood pendants. Brilliant!

Make sure you visit her website and blog too, and go see what other goodies are on her etsy page. You won't be disappointed! :p

Clay Bodies and Beyond!!

Hello friends! I hope you're having a creative day!!

My very talented friend Rachel made this SUPER AWESOME piece ^^. Isn't it stellar!! I've known her for a year or two now and she invited me over to teach me the basics of clay.

For most of these we used clay molds [she's never used them so we both wanted to try] and pretty much jammed the clay into the molds and then created pieces for jewelry with them. There's a fancier, more efficient way to use molds, but since we were mostly just messing around, this is the way we "played".

I am really excited to show you some of the stellar creations i'm going to make with these gems. YAY! Next we have to bisque them, and then glaze them. So TBC folks!! :p

Thank you Rachel! Can't wait to hang out again soon!

Smiles and Blessings to YOU my friends!

Sculpty clay and Colored Dyes. :D

I went to my friend Patti's house to do crafts last weekend and had a great time! We decided to paint and make pendants with Sculpty clay.

I've never used clay in any form, so it was such a treat so try and completely different technique.

They came out so cute!!

After you stamp the clay, you cut out the pieces and bake them for 15 mins.

We used colored dyes and mixed them with clay glue to paint onto the clay pieces.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stamp! I literally danced around with it, took MANY images of it, and then stamped it on quite a few pieces of clay.

After you paint on the pieces, you bake them one last time for 10 mins to set the color.

Look how perdy the pieces came out after we baked them a 2nd time!

This technique is super simple, didn't take very long and had great results, i HIGHLY recommend it!
