Amylee Designs: inspiring artwork

Meet Amylee Weeks...
She goes by the name Hidden in My HeART;
"Hidden in my HeART is original scripture art designed by Amylee weeks. Shop for Christian art here -- where God's word becomes art! It is honestly WORD art."

I have had the GLORIOUS pleasure of getting to know AmyLee for the last year, and i think she is the BEES KNEES! I love her spirit, her love for her family, and i love her art work.

She's a wonderful person and talented artist! Make sure to say hello and check out her art work at her Etsy shop. :)

Have a creative day!

Canvas', Cafes, and First art shows...

My show looks so swell! I'm so thankful! I've updated it a few times in the last two months and each time add more and more hand made canvas' and water colors. It's glorious having a space to hang my work, and i hope to have the privilege to do it again!
I truly LOVE how this canvas came out! So pretty, and cute. I love it!! <3

I am SO grateful for United Arts. I couldn't have done ANY of this without them. Just filling out the grant application gave me the COURAGE to apply to have my work at B3, the grant i won this year provided me with materials to make this show come true. I am so very blessed. I have sold originals, and prints at B3, Drunken Monkey, and Timothy's Gallery.

Bikes, Beans and Bordeaux has the BEST egg/cheese sandwich I've ever had.

I am SO blessed. Thank you to Jen and Darrell at B3, and to all my friends and family who have supported me, and purchased my art. I am honored, and so thankful for your support. It really does mean THE WORLD to me. :)

Much love,
Jenipher :)

Daily [animal] Doodles.

My lovely friend Andrea, from Paper Sparrow, is heading up the 'Daily Animal Doodle' project. It has been SO SO great participating so far, and getting some of my friends involved too. These are some of my doodles from the project.
this one if MY favorite, but i don't think anyone 'got it'.  such a shame! :)
Have you been participating in the project too?
do you WANT to?
let me know if you do, i'd LOVE to see your doodles!!!

smiles to you my dear inspiring friends,
Jenipher :)

Thank. Grateful. Changes.

I just wrote to my [potentially] new printer who [hopefully] is going to print all my prints! I am FINALLY feeling thankful and worthy of receiving this grant.

What a glorious feeling it is indeed.

And a real one.

I don't think i've enjoyed that many REAL, true, happy feelings enough in the last...many years, but very much so in the last 6 months or so. So many changes are happening, rapidly, i can barely keep up. In many cases, this is wonderful, but sometimes i feel as though i might get left behind. -- how i can get behind in my own changes? I have no idea. Fears are strange creatures indeed.

I wish you all a glorious evening, and am hoping each one of you is doing uniquely well!

Smiles to you,

Jenipher

HOLY cow! I won a grant!!

I can't express how excited and thankful i am. I applied for a professional art grant the end of last year, had the paneling a few weeks ago, and was just informed tonight, that i have been blessed with funding to follow my dreams from United Arts.

This grant will give me the opportunity to professionally print and package my 'nightly doodles', will allow me to personalize and inspire through my new [encouraging] blog Smiles and Thanks, and help me spread words of kindness and affirmation to Orlando and beyond!!

An extra special thanks to Margot Knight, Mary Patrick, Bonnie Hubbard, Rick Lang, Anna McCambridge, Dario J. Moore, Dennis Neal and Jeremy Seghers for believing in all of us, having incredible patience, and devoting your time reviewing our grants. Thank you for offering great opportunity, and helping make our artistic community a more inspiring place!

And even more so...thank you all SO MUCH for having faith in me and my art work. I can't tell you how much it means to me. Thank you.

Sometime is RIGHT NOW and i can't express how excited i am to start this new adventure!
YAY!!!!

MANY smiles and NUMEROUS thanks!

My FIRST showing at a Coffee Shop!

i CAN'T express HOW stoked i am!! Drunken Monkey, in Orlando, just hung up FOUR of my pieces today!! HUZZAHHH! :D

My friend Bobby is the "curator" at this funky cool coffee shop. He plays the banjo in a really awesome band called the Mud Flappers. If you like folksy tunes, you'll totally DIG them!

Have an inspired Sunday!

Loosky Wednesday - Marisol Spoon

Honestly...one of my dreams is to marry an artist, and then create works of beauty together. So, when i see a husband and wife team of artists my heart flutters for them.

In this case, my heart was already fluttering at the beautiful work, BEFORE i realized Marisol Spoon was a husband and wife team. ;) DOUBLE WIN! They have GORGEOUS work, and a very pretty blog too. Go check it out!!

Looksy Wednesday! - Claudia Pearson

I stumbled upon the wonderful works of Claudia Pearson a couple weeks ago and have been wanting to write about her. Not only does she have a very distinctive style, but she also draws food! And we all know how much that intrigues me!

I love how simple-ish, yet accurate her illustrations are! And i LOVE LOVE the recipes on her blog that she illustrates. :D

She also has a neato coloring book and calender on all the produce that's fresh each month.

Make sure to check out her etsy shop, and her website to see more of her beautiful works.
