Foodie Friday: Vegetarian Dum Sum House

One of the most MAGICAL things you can say to me is "Would you like to go get dim sum?" To add an extra rainbow and a few extra happy dances, tell me it's VEGETARIAN dim sum. I guarantee you're gonna get BIG a hug!!

The Vegetarian Dim Sum House in Chinatown did NOT disappoint!

I honestly didn't even know vegetarian dim sum existed until my friend Laura told me about it!! And it was KILLER! Our friend Anne knew EXACTLY what to order, and between the 5 of us, we ordered about 12 delicious bites of goodness to pass around the table. The BEST-EST part of dim sum is that it's always super inexpensive. I think we all paid $10! We left, full, satisfied, and with money to spare! It was glorious!

I really have to ask Anne what we ordered so i can give ya'll some tips, but for now, if you're visiting and craving some inexpensive asian food, head to Vegetarian Dim Sum House!!

Foodie Friday: Union Square Market

My friend Julissa and i met up at the Union Square market today to play catch up.

One of my FAVORITE parts of living here is HOW many amazing markets there are in the city. --this market, i think being my FAVORITE.
Juli and i both were kinda hungry, and even though im REALLLYYY frugal i budged and bought this vegan empanada

It was even BETTER than i expected! It was filled with kale and mushrooms and had a whole grain breading...?

For those of you who know me, i don't have a sense of smell, so i'm often wary of foods that look like they might not be flavorful enough for me to taste, but this was very filling. Completely satisfying. And i helped a local vegan gentleman.

All in all, it was lovely afternoon; just cool enough, great company, lots of laughter and delicious treats to snack on. :)

Now....back to the work cave for me!! :D
Have a happy Friday ya'll!

Fair's of World Trades. Days.

I've been a horrid little blogger, but this was MORE then worthy of blogging about.

I was a part of the "World Fair Trade" day last month. There are dozens of yummy vegan food vendors, artsits, and musicians. Customers on the other hand, were quite few and far between, but a bunch of my favorite people came to visit me. AND all of the sales i had were to people who either already knew of my work, or already had some of my pieces. IT. WAS. AWESOME. !

This was the first show that i not only did the whole display BUT did it confidently and had fun while creating it! Yay!

lindseyshow

This lady has done just about EVERY single show with me since i started doing them three years ago, she also just moved away. The next show, without her, will be a very sad day. :(

After the art show, my friend Camilo and I went to the House of Blues to see Saves the Day. They were stellar!
