Egg-cellent Foodie Friday! :D

I know it's not a biggie deal to most, but i think sunny side up eggs look SO COOL! I've never cooked one before and when my friend said she wanted a egg over easy i was so intrigued to watch her make one.

It was so pretty, [and delicious looking] that i wanted to try myself! So.. here i am sharing a few pictures. :)

It's also fun to WEAR egg-cellent jewelry!

Yum for One! - Foodie Friday

I love food. I love to cook. I love reading about other folks food related adventures. I want to be part of that adventure! Ha. Thus!! "Foodie Friday" is born. I know i generally talk about food related things quite often on here, but i will try [[operative word is try!]] to limit my love for food related things to Friday's blog spot.

Enter "Crunchy French Toast". Crunchy French Toast is something my mom used to make us growing up, and a food i still love 20 something years later. Essentially, it's french toast with frosted flakes on it, but it's SO MUCH MORE too! :D

I peeled and sliced one apple [i like fugi-ish type apples for this] and sauteed them with honey and butter and a smidgen of brown sugar. I like my apples al' dente, but you can cook them as long as you like. I put them in a bowl with a litte cinnamon and more honey if you'd like.

I then drudged one piece of Arnold's 7 grain bread in an egg with a little milk and cinnamon in it. Then dipped it into a plate of Frosted Flakes. I put the slice of french toast frosted flake side down on the grill and put more Frosted Flakes on the other side.

Make sure to cook the slice long enough that the egg cooks [i seem to get impatient and take it off the burner/flip too soon] but not too long to burn the bread.

And Voila! YUM for ONE! :)

Is there anything YOU like to cook for yourself?

Smiles and Blessings to you friends!

I <3 IKEA

Who hasn't seen "500 Days of Summer"? If you haven't PLEASE DO SOON! It was such a well written, artistic, wonderful, thought provoking movie, and i highly recommend it. It also romanced the glorious IKEA, the theme park of home decor. (Thanks Carissa!)

In Orlando, if you visit IKEA before 10am, you get free breakfast! Sweet deal! So, my friends and I partook in the food-age, and walked around admiring all the fun rooms i hope to one day emulate in my own home. :)

ikeabreakfast

The eggs and potatoes were free, bacon too (bleh) and we brought Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce. It wasn't so shabby. I mean, how can i complain getting free breakfast?

juice

When you do visit, make sure you get the lingonberry juice from the fountain. It's A-MAZING! Much better then the concentrate they sell or the juice boxes either. :)

I still have some friends who have not visited IKEA, you know who you are, and we are going soon!!

PS: Does anyone know how to post videos on blogs? I can't figure it out! :(

Saturday Morning Pancakes

Saturday Morning Pancakes

Don't you love those Saturday mornings, when you don't have anywhere to be. (Well, not very early anyways..) Those Saturday mornings, you can take the moments , enjoy the morning Sunday and make delicious Saturday Morning Pancakes.

Enjoy those pancakes all year round, on every day of the year. These "pancakes" are round rondelles of a dark stained wood, with a Jade "cherry" on top. Dangling below are a cute set of Pewter fork and knife charms.

Eat Up!!
