It's Motivational [NOT] Monday!

Ahhh i didn't realize how much i missed this blog until JUST NOW as i type this!

It's been a CRAZY month! Hardcore yo!
I finished painting [and hanging!!!] my artwork at Modca last night. whoo!!!


  

Fun Insta's from the past couple weeks. LOTS of painting! Zine Making, and a DELICIOUS meal Aimee from Artsyville made for a ladies craft day! 

While i have your attention, i want to tell you that this blog has been COMBINED with my other blog, Nightly Doodles! Together, this blog will take over the world! 
[and will have more consistent content!]


All of my paintings will be at Modca Cafe in Brooklyn for the WHOLE month of May! Go see them if you're near ANDDDD come to my opeining! 


Now it's time to prep for Etsy NY Spring Calvecade which is THIS Saturday from 10-6! ANDD... then! Hop on an airplane at 9:30 for my ENGAGEMENT PARTY! Whooo!

Brooklyn Zine Fest THIS Sunday!!



I can't believe after weeks and weeks or printing and months of work that Brooklyn Zine Fest is FINALLY here! It's this Sunday, and i hope to see you there! :)

Pastel Colors, Owls, and LEARNING galore!

Man, I'm trying really hard to even remember this past week! It was a definitely a 
{ L E A R N I N G } 
week...
I spent almost the WHOLE week working my time around Jenn Lee's video summit. There were SO many incredible calls, and so many amazing doodles that came from them!

 
I picked up my first consignment check from Stray Vintage! Hooray! These little guys sold quite well there indeed!



This coming week I'm working hard trying to write more of my "Nightly Doodles" story... I've been experimenting with using similar colors in a bunch of illustrations.

Like these beauties. :)

New Comics AHOY!


Okay so this week was CRAZY busy!! I have SO MUCH to share! But for now, I'll just start with something I'm SO SO SO excited about! 

My new comic!

 

Clare Carrot Comic came to life when my friend Jess visited last {last} weekend. We were at the Met and i needed a little drawing break; thus CLARE was born!

BUT, before Clare, these silly carrot drawings were drawn.

 

To explain a little bit more, the crazy red head comedian 'Carrot Top' lives in Orlando Florida, and would often be seen running. Running topless. [this statement brought up a swell conversation about how folks don't say men are topless, and are actually 'shirtless', but whatever. I have my own lingo. :) 

Anyways, I'm SUPER excited to show you more comics! I'm unleashing them little by little on my Nightly Doodles blog.

Hooray! It's Monday!

How crazy! I'm posting this post EARLY! ;)
But I'm babysitting most of the day, i won't have time to post later.


So.. this week wasn't quite as 'eventful' as last week, but i still did a bunch of fun projects as you can see!
 
I tried painting ala my friend Carissa Paige, and relized all of my tension about making the 'perfect' zine by JUST DOING IT! 

 
I made a super cute unicorn doodle, and make a BUNCH of jewelry! Last but not least, i sold one of my first Bar Mitzvah cards this week. [hooray!]
