Okay folks! It's time...i am going to be a better blogger, for realz! I know I've said this over and over, but now i should have more time since they aren't giving me enough hours at work. :) At least the bright side to THAT is that i have no excuse now!

To be honest, I've been so inspired by all of your lovely blogs, that i didn't want to post if i didn't have something uniquely splendid, but i think I'm just going to go with the flow and hopefully inspire you the same way you inspire me!!

i <3 giving gifts

My friend Lauren has the most beautiful curly hair I've seen, and when i asked her what she uses to bring out her curls she bought me some. So to say thank you i make her a necklace i thought would strike her fancy!

Ha, it's seriously awesome being an artist! You ALWAYS have potential gifts at your finger tips! How cool is that?






Well, my fancy striking worked out, because later that day i got this message.

"I love love love the necklace! I've actually been looking for a new cross necklace, you read my mind :)"

I, Jenipher Lyn, have created my FIRST piece of jewelry (a necklace) for the FIRST time in just about THREE years, Just. For. Me. You heard it here first, Jenipher the work-aholic, took time out to create FOR FUN! (Those who know me, i know your gasping..this is a HUGE success!)





I was inspired by the ultimately inspiring Margot Potter, who wrote a truly fascinating book "Beyond the Beads". This is a color combination from her book, and i came home and made something with the colors in the image. Alas..i show you a piece i called creatively called "Margot". :)



I'm so excited by it! AND the images came out wonderful!

Custom Thanks.

These past few weeks..okay..SIX weeks, i haven't made ANY jewelry at all. I finally have tons of time and freedom, but I just couldn't focus. So, thank goodness for these two custom orders!! They motivated me to start beading again.

My customer and Twitter friend, Jason, was inspired by my "Arizona" necklace and wanted to create a bracelet for a friend. I really like how the bracelet turned out. I really enjoy this color combination.



Angie had an antique butterfly pendant with a beautiful Amethyst stone set into it. I think the lilac freshwater pearls made this necklace very feminine, easy to wear.

I have a few other custom orders i've been making, and it's been helping me come up with some new creations!

Itty Bitty handmade clay cupcakes, frosted and sprinkled with fun, and a Garnet cherry on top!! Butterscotch colored Jade accents this necklace nicely.

Cross Your Fingers.

I was asked to make some jewelry prototypes for a very prestigious store in my home town. This is one of the first prototypes i made for them, and am working on a couple portfolio pages for them. I think this necklace would do wonderfully there, and am crossing my fingers!! that they accept me. Cross yours too okay?

Not Your Mother's Pearls

Angels = Happy + Healthy?

My mom has been quite sick and i've been wanting to get her something. Eariler this week, these "Little Guys" arrived and i KNEW i had my perfect present. What better present to...present..(haha) to someone that is ill is better then angels? These cute clay creations are done by Cindy Pacileo. She is a master in clay. Also make sure you check out her "Women of Peace". They are breathtaking, and i can't even imagine how so much detail can be made in a 4" figureine. I'm stoked to have her as a new artist at Timothy's.

I gave these lovely pieces of jewelry to a boss and co-worker of an old job. My co-worked jumped up for joy and told the customer how excited she was about the necklace. I don't know if my boss is back from her vacation or if she (likes) the earrings. Let's hope so!

Custom Jewelry for friends = really fun!

I have two awesome friends who are dating. When my friend asked me if he could help create a necklace espeically for Courtney, i didn't bat an eye. Of course!!

So, the obvious name for this set is called "Courtney". Faceted Amazonite rectangles, 6mm Spring Green Freshwater Pearls, and an adorable Sterling Silver Flower charm make this necklace a favorite.
