Overcommited; BUT happy. :)

Hello beautiful friends!
I've been 'slaving away' making new jewelries, getting ready for Holiday shows, among other {{REALLY COOL}} things i'll blog about later.

In the mean time, i just wanted to  C E L B R A T E  that i finished my WHOLE to do list today!!! And now i get to RELAX some and go hang out with friends, until tomorrow when the CRAZINESS ensues again.

Thus, i had a few moments to take pictures of HOW freaking COOL my hair looks today!
Now...off to the post office to mail some orders! HOORAY!
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
I hope you get a moment to enjoy the SMALL THINGS!
[like...cool pink hair days]

Pinky and the Green

Today's creative endeavor (or really..like four days ago..) I found an inspirational book called "A Charming Exchange" which is an INCREDIBLE book folks! It's by Kelly Snelling and Ruth Rae and it's kind of like a challenge in jewelry form. Groups of women all start, send, finish and create gorgeous jewelry. It's so inspiring, and i wish one day i could do something like it. Alas...

Pinky and the Green

CHALLENGE ONE: To get out of my box i would love to make A-symmetrical earrings. generally my brain doesn't work like that.

CHALLENGE TWO: To only use what's inside of THIS container. *

Messy Bowl O' Potenetial

Pink and Green and Red..oh my!

RESULT: I not only made a pair of earrings, which i think kind came out very fun, BUT i made a matching necklace. Yay!!

*I start a million projects at once and get over whelmed, then never clean up, so said box is a mix match of leftovers and never was...

So...my challenges as you can read from the "Pinky and the Green" earrings" was taken a bit further when i found all these pieces in the bucket as well.

So awesome! I LOVE this necklace. :)

Happy Birthday Riley!!

rileybirthday

Last Sunday was Riley's birthday. It was a wonderful full day of activity, laughter and no stress on my part! (which is quite a feat in itself!) We woke up and went to church, then headed to see Wall-E. The movie was really cute, i recommend it to anyone who likes a sweet animation. It's actually quite cool that the movie had barely any actual talking it in, but still managed to show so much emotion. {and the fact, that it's about emotional robots}.

After the movie, we killed time at our favorite store. Barnes and Noble. Sigh...we can spend hours at bookstores. i love them! Kobe Steakhouse is a Asian place that does hibachi at the table and they offer $15.00 off on your birthday so we headed there next. They put on a little show while they cook your food and give you a whooole plate full. {I had enough to eat to be full and two days of left overs!} It's a fun place. Tis highly recommend.

We came home and went running, and then, sadly, the day was over. It was a great day though. Hope your weekend was brilliant as well!!

Parties for Grandma's!!

Grandma Party is an event usually held early in the year. It's for local artists to self their handmade crafty items, and hopefully get some great exposure. Last April was my 1st Grandma Party and i honestly had no expectations to sell anything. I did wonderfully. This year, i had slightly higher expectations but i was a lot more prepared and organized. Although it was a rocky start, i did quite well, and for that i am very grateful.

I recieved great feedback too! So many people gave me AMAZING encouragement, which is brilliant! One girl even said i had the best quality, another said my jewelry was one in it's kind, that no one had anything similar to mine. Thanks for all your kind words folks! I appreciate them!

table

It's driving me crazy that i can't post my table picture, so above is the "fitted" version, and below is the real size one. :) My friend Devan made my Cherry Runway sign. Isn't it stellar!!!! She is amazing! She also made the cream colored boards my jewelry is on, but that might be hard to see.

I had the two coolest helpers a gal could ask for. Lindsey is great at talking with people and helping me convince them they need some Cherry Runway jewels, and Riley tried to help one poor slightly tipsy guy that if he gave a random girl a necklace maybe he'd get a girlfriend. :) Seriously, though, they were super awesome and supportive and great company.

This is the flyer for this year's Grandma Party. To my amusement, there actually were quite a few Grandma's wandering about this time.

Good friends + Good Days = Wonderful!!

I've been living in my home since March and have never decorated. Well, after certain circumstances, i've decided decorating is very important!! Thus, the new wall color.
Inspired by one of my most favorite artsits, Alicia Paulson! Check our her blog at the link to the left. She is absolulty AMAZING!!!!!

Today was a very cool day indeed so i wanted to just share about it. I went to Austin's with my new friend Courtney and had a great ol' time chatting. I did some work around my house, talked to my friends Brian and Yolly on the phone and then had pizza with my friend Ben. My friend Lindsey called and stopped by Ben's house so i got to see her for a few. Then, Wesley was AWESOME!!! After ther service, I had some rather fun, spunky, and random banter and it was just grand. Overall, twas a wonderous day.

Can i just Quote August 19th?

On Sunday, Camilo met me in Hollywood. We walked around all of Hollywood Circle (my how it has changed), ate lunch on the beach and eventually ran through sprinklers. Twas a fun afternoon.
